When a child in British Columbia is diagnosed with a progressive, life-threatening illness, Canuck Place can provide a pediatric palliative care service for both the child and the entire family.

Canuck Place can provide 300 families in its program with needed specialized care not available elsewhere, providing a much needed break from day to day responsibilities of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness. Our care team includes highly trained pediatric palliative care physicians on call 24 hours a day, registered nursing care 24 hours a day and a comprehensive array of other specialists in a variety of disciplines. Our staff and volunteers pride themselves on making Canuck Place a home away from home with comfortable surroundings and amenities.

Thanks to your donations, hundreds of families from across B.C. have access to Canuck Place's services, at no cost to them. The need for our services grows daily and has reached the point where there is a waiting list of families in need of assistance.

You can either donate a precious gift in your name or in honour of someone else. Your friend or family member will receive a special e-card acknowledging a gift in their name to Canuck Place, and an explanation of how the gift will support the children and their families.
